Here I am once again, back in one of my favorite states to be a part of an amazing experience! I got to go to Chattanooga Tennessee for the National Association of Campus Activities, or NACA as I call it. My University sent the executive board of Programming Board (which I’m a part of) to NACA so we could find amazing vendors and talented performers to come to our school for our events that we put on.
Going to Tennessee with my executive board was truly amazing. We got to bond and share an experience that will be beneficial for our futures. When we were there, we got to go to a mountain called Sunset Mountain and enjoy views that we don’t get to see in Florida. We got to take cute pictures right next to the edge of the mountain that would make our mothers nervous. We even got to enjoy amazing Tennessee cusine like fried chicken from Public House to yummy hot chicken burgers from Cookhouse. Getting to go somewhere new and enjoy the way of life that is normal in that region is always a fun time.
When we were at the NACA conference we got to see many amazing showcases that had acts from shows like “America’s got Talent”, “American Idol”, “The Voice”, and talk shows like “Jimmy Fallon”. It was so cool to see these many talented people in one place. It also gave my board and I an idea of who we want to bring to our school in the upcoming year. We also attended Ed Sessions that would educate us on developing an amazing program. We learned techniques to be successful in our organization in school and other ventures we will be associated in outside of our school.
I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to go away for a conference with some of the best people on campus. I’ll always remember what a fun time I had that will live on in me for the years to come. Hopefully I’ll be able to have another chance to go again in the near future!
